Hello and welcome to St John's. If you are thinking of joining St John's in September 2025 then please get in touch and we would be happy to give you an individual tour of the school at a time that suits you. Our recent OFSTED report (September 2023) observed that, 'Firm foundations of learning start in Reception class. Staff use every opportunity, including books and stories, to develop children’s vocabulary and communication skills. Children in the early years are well prepared for the demands of Year 1. '

The year in reception is a magical time where children make fantastic progress learning to read, write and count. They will have some wonderful experiences. We love the outdoors at St John's and children in reception will spend lots of time outdoors using our fantastic grounds and woodland.
