Book Week
During the week for World Book Week we have a whole school focus on reading and a particular book. This year we had The Lost Words by Robert Macfarlane as our focus. We were amazed to discover that many words had been lost from common usage including acorn, otter and raven. We want to reclaim them! The children did lots of reading, enjoyed sharing other books, did a book swap and raffle and produced some wonderful art and writing about The Lost Words.
